We’re busting out the revisits here in 2026, but at least we’re hitting up places we haven’t been back to in (checks notes) 12 years or so.
And they’re arguably a few of the closest places to our house. Go figure.
We’re also not saying we haven’t spoken of this place over the past 12 years, either. Usually in the context of “remember that place we went to with the fish breaded in something but we couldn’t tell what it was?” And usually followed by “what did we think it was again? Ritz crackers? Corn flakes?”
So there’s that.
Another benefit to not going back to a place in over a decade, at least for Shane anyway, is that you might walk in and have no recollection of what it looked like before. So in that respect it’s kind of like visiting it for the first time all over again. I mean, truth be told I couldn’t have pulled up a picture from my mind’s eye before this return visit, but once we were inside I did at least have a memory of the space. Not Shane. Every now and then throughout the night he would just find the need to remind us that he still didn’t remember having been there before.
Ok.
I guess they are kind of known for their fish at The Boulevard, which made us feel a little bit better about that being what we had remembered most (at all?) about the place. The menu is Lebanese inspired, so there are also lots of dishes with pita, schwarma, kabobs, hummus etc. But they do have burgers, wings, steak salads and Phillies too.
So basically a little bit of everything.
Including alcohol, it seems. At least when they poured our drinks, although afterwards they might’ve needed to restock since it seems like an awful lot ended up in our little glasses.
So glad winter is the time places are handing out the stiff drinks like candy at Halloween. I mean, I get it, it’s January and bitter cold so we appreciate the unconventional way to warm up – but we are also driving here. In the snow and ice. So maybe a little more soda along with that tequila next time, no?
Perhaps in an attempt to jog the memory from the last visit, the guys both ordered the five piece fish dinner. Or maybe because we’ve been referencing it for 12 years now so they had to order it and see if it was still the same.

Spoiler alert, we still don’t know what the breading is made from, but they both agreed it was still good. And surprisingly filling.
I was contemplating doing the same, but then I noticed a table nearby where a woman was eating something that was not fish but looked equally as delicious so I asked the server and discovered it was the chicken kabob. So just to be different I ordered that.

I mean, someone might need to testify eventually that they have eaten something other than the fish here, so I’ll take the bait. You’re welcome.
It was tasty. I liked they there was quite a bit of variety – so you had some healthy things like greens and marinated grilled chicken, but then throw in a healthy dose of pita, of and some French fries because who wants to be healthy for 100% of the meal, right?
Definitely not Ted, who ordered wings to go along with his fish dinner. Once again proving that meat can be a side dish to, well, a different kind of meat.

So one things we will say about The Boulevard, it definitely caters to a crowd that dines early. In fact I think they close at 8, which means we were one of the last tables there and they had started the process of cleaning up around us in such a way that kind of implied the old saying “you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.” So just be warned that although they do have a bar, it’s not really a place for hanging out after your meal for another few rounds of drinks. At least not on a Wednesday night anyway. Maybe that’s why they served us such a heavy pour with the first drinks?
