We passed by this place on our last trip out to Medina, and I think all of us went “oh, hey, look – a new place!” And then it pretty much became a game of who was going to pick it first.

Yes, these are the ways we entertain ourselves.

The place is pretty big on the inside, with a bar side, a huge dining room and a space toward the back set up like a living room TVs and couches. Where I also think they were playing cartoons. Ok then.

So with the space being super big, and also not super busy, it makes total sense that they seated us right next to pretty much the only other two full tables. Thanks for the privacy? I mean I get how restaurants work and that servers should have all of their tables close together for convenience – but also, sometimes when it’s not busy can you give us all a bit of space maybe?

Clearly anyone who works here hasn’t read our blog and been witness to any of our super inappropriate conversations recently or anything.

Hey it’s a brewery, so it totally makes sense that Shane and I got … mixed drinks. Vacation is less than two weeks away, people. Gotta stay away from the high cal and/or super bloating wheat products. Paloma for me, mule for Shane.

Ted made up for both of us though and sampled the beers with a flight.

I got the chicken Philly with Fries.

Shane got the back of the house burger with fries.

And we got an app of the loaded tots with parm truffle.

So I guess it’s really good we stayed away from at least the fattening liquids before vacation. Oh well.

Ted got the pepperoni roll for an app and then 12 of the hot garlic parm wings.

So … remember all those times we said that we should’ve just stopped after the appetizers because they were better than the main meal? Yeah, we can add this place to that distinguished list.

Shane and I both thought the tots were really good. The truffle selection was a great choice because they didn’t have enough of any sauce on them to be soggy but they still had really good flavor. Whereas the other option involved cheese sauce and was sure to be sog central. No thanks.

Ted’s pepperoni ball was inappropriately named, since it was more of a chopped up calzone or pizza than a true ball. But looks aside, it was huge and very filling. Like he didn’t really need a whole other meal in addition to that – although when has that ever stopped us in the past?

And in this case it worked out because the wings were definitely not a hit for Ted. He had had his reservations about ordering them, since we all know how Ted feels about cheese and just the word “parm” in the name made him a bit leery. He had asked the server if he could hold the parm if possible, but apparently the sauce is all mixed together so just garlic wasn’t an option.

So one bite in Ted declared them “too parmy.” I’m not sure that word has ever been used before, but I guess if anyone was going to add it to the English language it would be the guy who hates cheese. He ended up boxing them up and donating them to Shane’s lunch menu for the coming week.

But at least we learned a fun fact tonight that “confit wings” are just a fancy way to label regular wings. At least according to our server anyway. Hmm.

Shane said his burger – while cooked medium rare like he asked – was just OK. And that the extra rib meat on it definitely wasn’t necessary. It was like a meat sandwich with meat as a condiment.

My chicken Philly was pretty good. It was huge, so I pretty much picked out most of the chicken and cheese to eat, along with the top layer of the bun. But I was full just from that.

We all agreed that overall this place was more than a little pricey for what we got. Especially compared to some of the other breweries in the area – of which we have many to choose from where Ted actually gets to eat his meal instead of donating it to someone who likes cheese. Chances are we won’t be back.
