Well, well – another place we haven’t been back to in almost 10 years. We’re on a roll this year.
I was on a quest for patios this evening since we finally have our first nice Wednesday of 2026 (!!) and stumbled upon this place that I’ve often remembered but somehow never revisited since our initial trip in August of 2017.
Bet you’ll never guess what we ordered that initial time?
Hint: burgers and wings are always a safe guess. But bonus points to anyone who remembered this was the place where Ted actually ordered something healthy, albeit unintentionally, when he mistook the Maui steak as a rare form of sauce and not a salad with steak on it.
There are worse mistakes, I’m sure, but maybe not in this group.
It has also been noted that the patio did exist on that last visit, although we didn’t utilize it. In addition to a covered pavilion-like space with tables next to open air windows tney also have a grouping of picnic tables out back by a bocce court and cornhole boards.
We chose the picnic tables.
Of course as we sat there we contemplated why we haven’t been back in so long. But I guess when we have such a catalog of places in our 13 years of doing this now we have a lot of one hit wonders that we need to get back to eventually.
In a marketing move that seems catered directly to us, Wednesdays are now wing nights at the CountyLine Saloon. The deal is jumbo wings for 75 cents each. Bet you’ll never guess what we ordered?
I got six of the jalapeno garlic dry rub along with a large house salad.

Can we talk for a minute about this salad? This is supposed to be a large, but yet the container of dressing takes up almost as much of the plate as the actual salad does. This sad little plate of unhappiness also cost more than twice what I paid for my wings.
*sigh*
Shane also got 12 of the same flavor wings, and a Junior Boy burger. Which judging from my experience seemed to be the better option as a “side” to the wings. Live and learn.

Shane and I were both intrigued by the jalapeno garlic dry rub for the wings, as that isn’t a flavor we see often. When we asked the server about it she said she loves it and actually has a container of it at home that she uses to season roasted potatoes and things like that.
They may want to think about selling that option to customers, just fyi. We both liked it. It didn’t seem super spicy in the moment but the heat definitely sneaks up on you. My mouth was on fire for a good amount of time after I was done eating.
Ted got six of the mango habereno wings and the County Line Stacker burger.

His burger was basically the CountyLine’s version of a Roman Burger, served on a hoagie bun with the patties topped with deli meats, lettuce and tomatoes.
You would think that his wings would’ve been spicier than ours, but he claimed they didn’t have a ton of flavor. I’m beginning to think we may have broken his taste buds over the years.
The guys didn’t have a lot of commentary on their burgers which leads me to believe they weren’t at the top of any “best of” lists.
The service was a bit hit or miss. Our server was very personable and offered great suggestions, but we also didn’t see her a lot over the course of the evening either. I’m guessing they were a bit understaffed and everyone was covering the indoor and outdoor areas, so I’m sure it was difficult to keep up on everyone – but it seemed we went large spans of time without drink refills or checkups, which is always frustrating.
Looking back at our original visit the verdict was that things were a solid “meh” – and it seems that hasn’t really changed. So I guess we’ll see you in another nine years.
